Jethro Tull

Sunday 10th September

Jethro Tull has embraced a number of music genres since its formation in 1968. However, Progressive rock and Folk rock primarily describe Jethro Tull’s music.

Frontman Ian Anderson has been with the band from the beginning, yet whilst Jethro Tull has naturally had a number band changes through the years, it is his continued presence which has constantly influenced their music.  They have sold over 60 million albums worldwide, of which 11 were gold and 5 platinum. The band have now released their 23rd album, RokFlote, which immediately reached No. 4 in the album charts.

The album Crest of a Knave, which won a Grammy Award in 1987, continued the list of famous album titles such as Stand Up, Aqualung, Thick as a Brick, and Songs from the Wood.

This years European Tour has only 3 UK dates, one of which is our festival. We are privileged indeed, and we welcome the band to our Prog Rock Day at Tonbridge Castle.
